About Me
Inspiration comes in many forms. Children, animals, light, the world at large. I have learned to trust unconscious spontaneity and tame it with responsive purpose.
I work in classic methods such as acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil and pen and ink. I am also adept at digital graphic design and illustration. I have painted murals and taught children of all ages the "open secrets" of making art. Recently I have become enamored with an ancient technique called encaustic. Essentially it is painting on and collaging within layers of translucent wax. A marvelous new direction for this multifaceted artist.
